CONNER, Betty Jo Davis, "Mimi", born March 13, 1937, departed this world to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 6. 2013. Meeting her at heaven's gates were her daughter, Debbie Conner; her parents, Alpha and Sylvia Davis; brothers, James, Charles, and Terry Davis. Leaving behind to cherish their precious memories are her husband of fifty seven years, Tom Conner; daughters, Jeannie (Jeff) Richard, Pam (Clark) Bussell; grandchildren, who adored their Mimi, Lindsay (Jim) O'Brien of Tampa, FL., Jordan Bussell, Chase Tuggle, Birmingham, AL., Logan Apple, Reed Apple, Michael (Amber) Richard, Kristie Richard and Andy Bussell, all of Murfreesboro; brothers, Dale, Larry, Alpha, Jr. and Roger; sisters, Pauline, Juanita, and Jean; numerous nieces and nephews, along with her "daughters by love", Tina Owens Cleveland and Lorrie Carter Bennett. Mrs. Conner was a homemaker who loved her daughters and grandchildren more than life. She enjoyed reading and visiting the mountains where she grew up. Her door was always open to friends of her children, loving many of them as her own and always offering a kind word to all. She was a member of Neelys Bend Baptist Church for over fifty years. Visitation with the family will be at Madison Funeral Home Sunday 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. and Monday 12 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home. With Bro. Tommy Ferguson, Bro. Gordon Donohoe and Bro. Chase Tuggle officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
