Preceded in death by parents Claude Watson Cherry, Sr. and Clara Warren Cherry, Sr.; Brothers, Robert Cherry and Claude W. Cherry, Jr. She had been a beautician and worked for a short time for Harvey's Department Store. She had been a faithful member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church since 1968. She is survived by loving husband, John W. Boyte, Jr.; daughters, Melissa (Charles) Andelman of Medford, MA. and Cheri Janette Boyte; grandchildren, Joseph and Rachael Andelman; devoted niece, Patti (Thomas) Russell and devoted nephew, Fred Smith. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12 from 10:00am until time of Service at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Brother Mike Fisher officiating. Interment following at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be, Novice Wray, Ray Powell, Fred Smith, Roy Powers, L.S. Williams, Tommy Russell, Les Levette and Charles Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are the remaining Deacons at Dickerson Road Baptist Church. The family requests memorial contributions to be made by providing Bibles through Gideons.
